SE Asian firm MediaBanc launches WwWAD, global advertising portal

Official launch held in Kuala Lumpur for key industry players

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (November 16, 2010) – MediaBanc officially launched a partnership with Canadian firm adfinitium to deliver a real time, online portal with over 9 million advertisements from more than 50 countries to the South East Asian advertising industry.

“With advertising creative from over 400,000 brands captured by our database, the collaboration with MediaBanc will prove mutually rewarding to both the South East Asian advertising industry and our partners”, said Ed Clarke, CEO and Founder of adfinitium. The portal, called WwWAD, will enhance the ability of advertising agencies to perform global advertising intelligence and research functions. “By integrating the adfinitium database into WwWAD, MediaBanc has reached a new milestone as a Malaysian brand while further enhancing their service levels and support to the industry”, added Alan Lim, CEO of MediaBanc Group. Advertising executives and industry players were present to witness the inauguration of the portal.

Previously, advertising agencies and large advertisers would need to source global creative materials from a variety of regions and individual providers. It would usually take between two days to more than a week in order to obtain the required materials. adfinitium has identified this opportunity to correct an in-efficient process by aggregating the materials from across these regions and creating a network of online data sources linked directly to individual providers, including MediaBanc. The result is that global advertisements can be searched, reviewed, and instantly downloaded by the end-user.

WwWAD is MediaBanc’s user interface for the South East Asian advertising industry. “Advertising monitoring using WwWAD will become much more dynamic where the true borderless world permeates every brand, and competition is engaged at a new level with faster go to market goals,” says Lim. He further elaborates, “Having access to accurate and real-time information is definitely King.”

Clarke is in Malaysia today to demonstrate and help launch WwWAD. “We are delighted to provide South East Asian advertising agencies and advertisers with the ability to instantly monitor competitive advertising and receive creative inspiration via this unique portal,” says Clarke in a press conference.
